WW2 M43 Entrenching tool/Shovel with Cover dated 1944

Description

This is quite a worn and used shovel. This shovels cover has been beaten and used viciously it seems, as the stitching is coming undone and the button is ripped off. The cover is still dated 1944 and was made at the Tulsa Canvas Manufacturing Company. The shovels handle has some good wear as well, and some paint is missing. The blade itself to the shovel is good, and shows wear but not enough to cover the US mark. The shovel blade retains much of the original paint and still folds and unfolds, but needs some force. There is a small amount of rust around the top of the shovel where it twists to unfold. Message with any questions.
