Ever wish people would leave something alone rather than trying to "fix" it and messing it up? I'm the person you had in mind. I found this light and couldn't remove the tail cap so I padded it and tried to turn it off with Vise Grips - hence the scrapes. At least they aren't gouges, pretty much just removed the anodizing.  Afterwards I removed the head and managed to get out the old Eveready batteries that had leaned inside, and did get them out after some liberal use of light oil and some tapping and centrifugal force. The result is what you see. I don't know if it works, decided to leave well enough alone, but tried to take a lot of pictures to give a good idea of markings and condition. Stamped on barrel behind plastic switch "KEL-LITE / C-PL-3." Tail cap stamped "KEL-LITE INDUSTRIES INC. / Pat. Pend. / Kel-Lite / Made in U.S.A. / BARSTOW CALIFORNIA."
