ceiling light fixture from the
1920's
with thick "clambroth" glass shade.
(Clambroth is a translucent white color)

The shade is thick, heavy, translucent glass.
Primarily known as "clambroth" by collectors,
It has some
bubbles, swirls, and inclusions
- all indicative traits of old glass.
This style of light was most often used in
industrial applications as well as commercial
environments such as drug stores and theaters.
This fixture has been
rewired
with new
cloth covered wire, and the original white
porcelain socket
is in good working order.
This brass retains its beautiful original worn
bronze-color patina
showing tarnish and wear.
It takes any
standard bulb of
up to 75 watts.
If more brightness is required, use a LED bulb.
Approximate Dimensions;
-Total drop from ceiling (including shade) is variable.
As shown in photos, the total drop is 26", but can
easily be shortened by removing chain links.
The shortest achievable total drop is about 12.5".
(Let me know immediately after purchase and I can shorten it for you)
- Shade measures about 10.4" across
- The shade top fitter flange size is standard 2-1/4"
- Canopy Diameter at Ceiling - about 5"
I wired this lamp to a dimmer for the photo shoot
to show how varying wattage affects appearance.
The light bulb is not included in this purchase.
All necessary mounting hardware IS included.
