    Up for sale is a very rare US made mint M1 Bayonet and M7 Scabbard produced on contract for Norway. About 50,000 M1 bayonets and M7 Scabbards were ordered in 1954. They were to be packed for overseas shipment and were delivered to US control. Once they arrived in Norway, the history of these bayonets is unknown as to what happened with them. However, about 400 ended up back in the US at Anniston Army Depot. This is one of them. Very rare item including original scabbard for Norway which is marked different than WWII M7 scabbards with a different formation of the flaming bomb and "US." Also, special Norwegian crown, flaming bomb, and U.S. markings on it. This bayonet is a must have for any US knife/bayonet collector as it was considered to have been a US issue bayonet to our troops in the latter half of the 1950s after some apparently came back to the United States.
