Iconic, Endearing Vintage HOGS ARE BEAUTIFUL locked pin back button - Late '60s

Description

This iconic and endearing “Hogs are Beautiful” button was produced in conjunction with a campaign initiated by the National Pork Producers Council and is believed to date to 1969 or perhaps early 1970s, when the owner worked for a U.S. Senator from the midwest.  It measures approximately 2 1/8 inches in diameter and has a locked pin back.
