    I recommend opening the card first to confirm it has the thermal
    glue/gap like pictured below
    .  If it makes direct contact this kit
    will not lower
    gpu temps.
    Most Dell video cards have a gap between the gpu and heatsink filled by thermal glue as shown in the picture below.  If the card is opened the bond between the gpu and heatsink will be broken leaving a gap that will cause your card to overheat and fail with just thermal paste.  Use this kit to lower your gpu temperatures lower then stock and keep gpu failure from happening!!
    Note: the shims for ram chips are not meant to replace the stock thermal pads, you must have the stock thermal pads to use this kit
