Custom, Glass Top, Myrtle Wood (Oregon) Display Case #1904
“. The outside dimensions of the Case are: 4.562” x 2.500” x 1.750”.
The interior of the case has Dark Brown Felt. The case has mitered corners, in-set 1/8” (.125), Flat Glass (.125 thick) and is precision made of ¼” (.250) Myrtle Wood material. The interior dimensions are: 4.125” x 2.062” x 1.250”, not including the 1/16” (0.062) felt (reference interior drawing photo). This box is great for a
knife display or whatever
will fit into it. Please note: the top and bottom fit of the case and that the Flat Glass is in-set (set in a 3/16” deep groove) into the wood for a finished look, not exposed and glued. The bottom of the case has an inset (set in a 1/8” (.125) deep groove) of 1/8” (.125”)
Duron (hard tempered Masonite) board to give it a clean outward appearance, reference photos of the case. Please refer to the photos and contact me if you have any questions regarding this auction.

I have been making these boxes
since 1981 in the U.S
. All of the Cutting, Gluing and Hand Fitting and Sanding is done by myself; my wife does all of the padding and felt interior. I try to match the grain of the wood around the circumference of the box for a nice clean look. I also try to match by hand the Top and Bottom fit so it looks like one piece. If it has Glass it is inset into the wood, not glued, same goes for the bottom Masonite / Duron. I do not use an Electric sander; it is all done by hand. All of the wood is Natural, Not Stained I use a clear oil to finish the boxes. The Hardware is made in the U.S. and installed by hand, No Electric Screwdriver is used I install the screws the old fashioned way. The
CSJ
on the bottom of the box are my initials. The number on the white tag (PSA can be easily removed) is the number of the boxes I have made to date. In other words everything is hand done.
