Description
1920's ORIGINAL Spanish Revival / Gothic / Castle Style SOLID Brass and Bronze Two Arm Wall Sconce Light Fixture RESTORED to ABSOLUTE PERFECTION!Originally a Church fixture I f
ound it with a Century's worth of old lead paint and I completely stripped everything to the original Yellow, Red Brass and Bronze. Upon disassembly I found remains of the original gold paint in the cracks between all the parts (because these metals were each a different color it was painted when new) but it actually looked better when I found it in black because it looks like real Wrought Iron. So I sprayed everything with 2 coats of Automotive Grade Primer and 3 top coats of Automotive Grade Satin Black Enamel before re-assembly. I left a small area on the back bare to show it is SOLID Brass.
I installed all new copper wire and Porcelain Lamp Sockets good for 150 Watts EACH. Comes complete with a mounting bracket, it's READY to hang with NOTHING else needed to buy.
Pix were taken with a 40 Watt Clear Bulbs (which ARE INCLUDED) but would look awesome with Reproduction Carbon Filament Edison Bulbs as it would have looked in the 20's - 30's or "Flicker Flame" bulbs.
Projects 7" off the wall
12-1/2" wide
Arms are 1/2" square
5" diameter candle rings are 3" tall and
have 1" tall x 3/4" wide "teeth" with 1/2" spacing between them. The rings will accept up to a 3-1/2" diameter base shade if you don't want to see the bulb. They are stepped inside so you can also install a glass chimney within an outer shade if you want.
The mount bracket is 4" wide x 13-3/4" long
This is an UNUSUALLY HEAVY sconce and weighs OVER 7 pounds! Please note shipping costs are out of my control! I do my ABSOLUTE BEST to pack in a box which will measure and weigh the least while providing the best protection against damage in shipping. ALL carriers have increased postage costs, USPS postage is the default shipping method which in some cases will be more expensive than FedEx or UPS.
MY LOSS is YOUR GAIN; I bought this almost 20 years ago to install in my Beer Cellar and have NEVER been able to find another (I need a pair). High quality house light fixtures like this cost OVER 0 and they are new reproductions.
